Wonder in first person.

Last week our writing task was to write a first person essay based on our book 'Wonder' This is the one I wrote. I think the book is quite interesting. Leave a comment!

Wonder is a story about a boy who feels ordinary on the inside, but he is always reminded of how different he is by how people respond when they see him. This is R.J Palacio’s first novel and it is written in the first person.

Example one , he uses the first person. For Example in the first paragraph he says,

“my name is August.I won't describe what I look like.Whatever you're thinking it's probably worse”.

Example two, In the book ‘Wonder’, Palacio uses the first person point of view to tell the story from chapter one to ten.

In conclusion I think that Wonder uses the first person in the book.

My Mihi Slide!

Last week Rimu Class was working on a mihi we did in class, this is what you needed to do.

Number 1 you need to get symbols and photos to represent you.

Number 2 draw some things.

Number 3 put it on iMovie.

Number 4 upload it on your google drive.

Number 5 post it on to your blog.

The Warrior!

Today the Year 6s did some shared writing and we learnt an interesting way to start a story using a noun and a relative clause. I also put in a simile and learnt some new interesting words.
The warrior.

The warrior, who was scared as a chicken, ran away as fast as a roadrunner.Then the giants laughed so hard they exploded, his troops was so mad they said kill him,”ahh”, said the warrior...so after that the troops had a victory dance. “Never let giants laugh,” says the warriors mum.

Then the troops danced so hard they died and it said on their headstone …. poor troops from dancing so hard. Then the video was posted on boom-tube. warriors email acount.war@midmail.com.

seal man

Back in ancient times (1986) Wayne Mathews went to Antarctica to(Scott Base) by winning a hot dog eating contest.

excited Wane hacked into government files. Then Wayne went to antarctica to look for the modified seals that were kept secret by the government.

Then Wayne went to see one.Wayne was about to take a picture of it but it saw him and attacked pore wayne and the seal talked to wayne and it said ¨get out of my face¨ said the seal,¨oh no you didn´t said wayne.

Then Wane got bit in the hand and became seal man. wane flyed back home back home.
